Excon Updates

Ex-Con Inc is looking in to putting on two separate other training seminars; outside of our annual Law Enforcement Explorer/Cadet Competition.

The first would be specifically for Explorer/Cadet ADVISORS, and would be comprised of TWO days of training (16-20 hours) from various instructors from various jurisdictions/organizations with established tenure in instructing adult advisors on Youth Law Enforcement Explorer/Cadet programs.

Topics would include liability, fund raising, team building and Youth Protection Training certification (required annually by Boy Scouts of America), just to name a few.  This program is classroom instruction and would be held in Las Vegas, Nevada at our host hotel for our annual competition. The tentative date(s) would be October/November 2012.

The second program is specifically designed for Law Enforcement Explorer/Cadet class officers.  This program consists of a high-stress academy setting with a focus on leadership development, and would comprise a 3-4 day live-in academy with physical and classroom instruction.  Housing, food and classroom materials would be included in registration fees.   The tentative location for this program would on a United State’s Military Base in Northern Arizona, and the dates in 2012 or early 2013 are pending interest responses.

Ex-Con Inc staff members have been involved in facilitating both types of the above programs for years, and have received numerous requests to do so for national participation.  We ask that anyone interested, please email Ex-Con Staff at the provided links with any interest in EITHER program (specifying which program or both).  As with our annual competition, fees would be extremely low to facilitate involvement from national programs and would be explained if and when specific dates/requirements are established.

Fees for our Ex-Con 2012 competition will be the same as 2011, and as soon as the specific date and scenarios are available, the 2012 page will be accessible.  Registration for 2012 WILL include the availability to pay via credit card online as well.
